"Dolls and Legends " - a cycle  of international multicultural meetings in English, Polish and Russian as a part of the

Mikrogranty project, 22-nd edition, from Strefa Kultury Wrocław.

There are three independent workshops, each of them consist of 3 parts:

1. Art doll exhibition, and a meeting with the artist.

2. Presentation, which takes us to come into the history of traditional Slavic folk dolls, their types and meaning.

3. Doll making workshop.

You are going to make Motanki, Happy horse, Lucky bird, listen to a fairy tale about Baba Yaga and other Slavic fairy tales, learn some interesting facts about Slavic culture, and additionally - get in touch of my artistic dolls, smiles, joy of creativity, meeting your intuition,  journey into childhood.

Miss Luda’s workshop was fantastic.  Children showed interest in unusual dolls, and listening to the stories, each doll was as fun as traveling in time.  The experience of listening to and making old doll cultures from various countries made me immerse myself in the workshop, and it was an exciting time that even a 3-year-old child sat down for two hours.  Thank you so much to Miss Luda and her staff for making a great time!

Liudmyla is a remarkably talented artist that is rare to find these days. She generously educates us about the values and importance of keeping traditions and folklore alive. During her workshop we handcrafted one of the oldest children´s dolls that exist - the rag doll called a Motanka. It is the complete opposite to today´s commercially produced, mostly plastic, toys that have little meaning to one´s life.  Liudmyla rekindled the art of giving intention and love to a possession. Furthermore, she presented the endearing importance of connection to family and folklore and spirit.  This special time spent with Liudmyla of producing something with one´s own hands, giving it meaning and valuable purpose was magical. I encourage all, no matter the age, to be deeply entranced by this gifted artist and her world.

Skoro wakacje to stan umysłu, to Ja dziś miałam wakacje.
